  15. <p>     DIED. STUART ROOSA, 61, astronaut who flew the Apollo 14 command
  16. module Kitty Hawk during the third lunar landing mission in
  17. 1971; of complications from pancreatitis; in Falls Church, Virginia.
  18. Roosa orbited the moon in solitude, and often out of radio contact,
  19. while his fellow astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell
  20. explored the surface. Despite his historic flight, he told a
  21. writer this year, "Space changes nobody. You bring back from
  22. space what you bring into space." On Earth, Roosa owned a Mississippi
  23. beer distributorship.
